Retreat Overview:

The PERFORMANCE WELLNESS ATHLETE RETREAT is an integrative approach to the well-being of every athlete, both within and outside of sport. Bring your team, training partners or join athletes at the multi-sport retreat to positively impact your performance.

Engage in a 2-day retreat that will enhance your performance on and off of the field. High performers from all sports have engaged in the FIRSTAR model and note benefits in on-field, in-gym and mindset performance.

Retreat Outline:

The retreat encompasses joint and tissue care through a hygiene and longevity program, physical yoga and meditation rolled out in a deliverable platform. For any lingering or current issues, treatment sessions are built into the PERFORMANCE WELLNESS ATHLETE RETREAT as well. The active sessions will leave you feeling revived in mind and body while providing a skillset you can apply to your current training regimen.

Upon completion of the course, you will receive 4 weeks of personalized support with FIRSTAR THERAPY to maximize the skills utilized in the retreat and capitalize on the momentum created.

James’ practices provide the best workout for your body and mind. He provides a level-appropriate physical workout for the entire body, providing just the right amount of science behind the “whys and how” of each movement. James’ workouts are never boring.

He regularly changes exercise movements often incorporating unique and fun warm-ups. He offers tips and ideas on how to improve your movement throughout your daily life. His yoga sessions provide the same type of mind-body connection with an emphasis on what the client needs – stretching, workout, or balance.

He knows what questions to ask and how to listen to what you need. All interactions with James are personal, professional, and leave you feeling like a better person than when you started the session.

Integrative Systems Approach

Retreat Overview:

Using the ‘3- relationships Model’: Work on yourSELF, Work with your colleagues, Work into your practice (for athletes)

The PERFORMANCE WELLNESS PRACTITIONER WORKSHOP RETREAT is an opportunity to enhance your well-being and your current model of patient care simultaneously. You will engage in an interactive workshop and develop a practical set of skills that you can apply in your own life and to your current mode of care. The workshop is driven by a holistic approach to wellness through an integrative systems model that can be easily manoeuvred to suit high performers in sport or everyday athletes. 

Engage in a 3-day retreat that will enhance your life and your practice – be at your best so you can guide others in doing the same.

Practitioners from all modes of patient care are welcome. 

Upon completion of the course, you will receive the FIRSTAR THERAPY Integrative Systems Approach Certificate and,
4 weeks integrative support (minimum 8 hours) :

  • 1.5 hour, Zoom Call (weekly), group 30 minutes 

  • 1-to-1 Call (weekly) with individual additional calls as desired/needed

COMPLETION CERTIFICATE FOR PRACTITIONERS

You will receive a CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION when you complete FIRSTAR’S Practitioner’s Performance Wellness Seminar.

I was approached with a fantastic opportunity to be a part of an amazingly immersive, interactive, and enriching workshop that focuses on mind-body connection and awareness. The wellness-based approach James has created is something that is so necessary for the times we have recently been exposed to. Taking into account how important self-care and the human element is at the forefront of his model is undeniably the driving force behind his vision. The education learned and knowledge gained is all so valuable for any practitioner to be able to take away immediately and begin implementing into their current model of care and also your own daily life.

James’s passion to educate, empower and impact is what you see and experience first hand throughout the entirety of the course. Focusing on intention and awareness is refreshing as a practitioner.
